About the Book

Cancer Can Suck It

A Memoir

At 35, after 18 months of “watchful waiting,” Benah Parker was diagnosed with breast cancer. What followed wasn’t a heroic quest or a tidy self-help story. It was messy, frustrating, absurd, and often darkly funny. Drawn from journal entries written during diagnosis and treatment, along with reflections from the years that followed, Cancer Can Suck It tells the real, raw, and often ridiculous truth of living through cancer and learning to live after it. This isn’t a survival manual or a pinkwashed pep talk. It’s a deeply human story for anyone navigating the chaos of cancer, or loving someone who is.

"Cancer can suck it. I win."
